With the UltentalCard, which all our guests receive free of charge, you can use all public transport in South Tyrol at no cost. This allows the whole family to explore the region comfortably and sustainably – even on our excursions we consciously rely on public buses. A small step for us, a big contribution to nature!

The gentle murmur of water surrounds us here in the valley – soothing, invigorating, and full of energy. Our hydroelectric plants supply the entire valley with clean electricity, allowing our hotel to rely 100% on renewable energy. It’s inspiring to know that nature provides us with energy – for a holiday that feels good for young and old alike.

Here, no one has to sit in the dark to save energy. We simply pay careful attention to our electricity use, creating a cosy atmosphere with warm, pleasant lighting. This way, you and your family can enjoy a comfortable holiday while also doing something good for the environment.

Our hotel is heated using wood from the surrounding forests. Thanks to our partnership with the local cooperative, which operates three wood-chip plants in the valley, transport distances are short and the heating remains natural. This is good for the climate – and ensures cosy, warm moments after an eventful day in the South Tyrolean mountains.

Fresh, local, and authentic – that’s the taste of South Tyrol! In our kitchen, we primarily use products from the Ultimo valley and the surrounding area: seasonal, natural, and crafted with great care. Whether it’s homemade delicacies, herbal tea from the Wegleithof, fresh organic bread from the local baker “Ultner Brot,” or a variety of cheeses from the area – here, the flavour of the region comes through in every bite. And the best part: children can also enjoy many of their favourite dishes and tuck into them with a clear conscience.

Guests travelling by electric car are warmly welcome here! We have set up our own charging station right at the hotel – convenient and hassle-free. This way, the family holiday begins in an eco-friendly and stress-free way right from your arrival.

In Ultimo, tradition is a way of life – and our little guests love it too. Festivals, music, and ancient customs are simply part of everyday life here. Once a week, there is a farmers’ market, offering regional products and specialities straight from the local area. As active members of the Santa Valburga music band, we are proud to be part of this vibrant culture. When the brass band plays, the traditional costumes shine, and children discover age-old customs with wide-eyed wonder, you can feel it: this is a place that’s home at heart.

Healthy, vibrant and bursting with flavour – that’s our take on sustainable pleasure. We also love fresh, vegetarian dishes that the whole family can enjoy. Those who savour consciously do good not only for themselves but also for nature.

Even in the little things, we pay attention to sustainability. We carefully sort our waste, recycle responsibly, and give valuable materials a second life – some of which we even use creatively for crafts with our little guests. This way, children learn playfully how important it is to care for nature – for a clean, green future.
