VAL D'ULTIMO.
FROM WINE AND FRUIT TO THE
ETERNAL ICE OF THE GLACIER.

Val D'Ultimo, spanning 40 km, is one of the most natural valleys of Alto Adige and starts at Lana, near the spa town of Merano. You can experience everything from wine and fruit to the eternal ice of the glacier. In Val D'Ultimo are 4 towns named after their patron saints: San Pancrazio (St. Pankration), Santa Valburga (St. Walburg), San Nicolò (St. Nicholas) and Santa Gertrude (St. Gertrude), as well as the small villages of Sant’Elena (St. Helena) and San Maurizio (St. Maurice). Here in Val D'Ultimo, in this beautiful and unspoilt natural setting characterised by steep, verdant meadows, deep forests, crystal clear lakes and towering peaks and, not least, mountain farms up to 1,800 m above sea level, live the people who call the valley their homeland.
